Insecurities can leave a scar
While the whole generation likes to crack jokes or ‘roast ‘others based on their insecurities, I completely am against this trend . Not everything we learn from the internet is ‘cool’ . A person who spent her whole school life working hard that one day she would be recognised would have never known that she would be recognised and trolled for having more facial hair on her face making her look less feminine. Yes I am talking of a rather recent case which was viral on the net .What I am trying to imply is that it ,she embraced the way she was before the internet pointed it out and made it her insecurity. That’s what it is , insecurities aren’t there , they are made ! They are made by people who can’t accept that you can be amazing without meeting the societal standards. Society can’t accept the fact that you have or are something which isn’t there in the rule book .
Hence , I term insecurities as a new form of oppression by others to limit the person from growing . It can be anything not only pertaining to one’s physical appearance. It can also apply to societal beliefs, religion, gender, work, politics and so much more .
Divide and rule was also a strategy used to make people insecure and make them feel that their faith is in danger .
Since we are talking about partisanship, don’t you feel we are living in a similar situation too?
Leave nation building behind I can definitely see nation churning going on . We say we should embrace differences but our government is on another mission .Be it the different taxes on different flavours of popcorn or different laws on criminals having different income . Yes , these are all insecurities. And some of them can eventually lead a person to a dark phase which has no coming back . They leave behind scars which can hinder the development of generations to come as a nation .
The reason I am saying this is because , I recently saw on the news that kindergarden schoolers in school celebrating Christmas in Gujarat were told to stop the celebrations and remove their decorations by some so called ‘religion ‘groups . At the age where in students should be exposed to diversity, some educated illiterates can’t stand seeing this . Please note I am not talking about religion I am talking about these organisations who don’t even know the true essence of their own religion . I am sorry to say but getting insecure about children celebrating a festival you don’t want to is even more childish . Another example was of a guy stopping a Zomato delivery boy and making him remove the Santa costume saying this isn’t their festival. I mean getting insecure of what you call minorities, isn’t that just humurous.
World peace comes when everyone isn’t insecure about themselves in all aspects and when there is a bridging of relationships of versatility . As the future leaders of the world we must put an end to these insecurities and rather start respecting each others differences and moreover appreciating them . I guarantee you , half of the worlds problems will end !
It’s just an insight and isn’t meant to hurt anyone’s sentiments because as I said we ‘respect ‘ and embrace it!
Hope you kick start your day with a confident start !

DeleteSoo Truee!!! We have the time to judge n troll people but not the time to improve on ourselves n help one another..Y not unite n celebrate all festivals together.People say India is known for its diversity and unity.. but are we really united? People here hardly respect others culture and expect their culture to be respected n prioritized..
