An Awakening

 As I always believe that Change is necessary in life ,todays article will be insightful in a different approach .

Todays article is an honest opinion on the current state of our country .This is a  topic I usually don't like to talk about but right now I feel things need to be addressed. This is just a happening and I have summarized everything in a gist . Each topic has alot of data which you readers can research on.  

As civilized youth of this country we need to be aware of what is actually happening in our country. We say India is the largest democracy in the world but is it being practiced to uphold that position? "Democracy is a form of government in which the rulers are elected by the people. A key aspect of democracy is that the government is chosen by the people through free and fair elections.   " 

Although all of you dear readers might have known it , I want to highlight the importance of the word 'By the people'. Along with this we also know that there are few fundamental rights that define democracy in any constitution. We know we have full control over our Government and that they are answerable for their actions. Then I have one question, why are we defending our governments for their actions instead of questioning them for the same ?  Leave aside the questions they are yet to answer . But why not ask and raise our opinions for all the fake promises for solutions ?

 

I want to know why is the Yamuna river polluted and intoxicated yet again? I want to know why the people of Delhi cant have clean air to breathe ? Why we are getting adulterated products for consumption? Why are people practicing the right to protest declared as Anti-nationals ? Why is the Educational System failing? 

I have too many questions , and I believe all of you must have something to ask . Few years ago when the Yamuna river became intoxicated with foam , the government had huge discussions and a lot of implementations to see to it that such an issue doesn't occur again. And the thing to note is that the river is being polluted from the decade of 2010 and yet nothing was done until a huge issue arised,

Delhi's air AQI as you dear readers know has crossed the 500 mark and is now the most polluted city on planet Earth . People are suffering from chronic diseases now as they have no option but to breathe the lethal air and the situation is so severe that the doctors are recommending the people to leave the city.As I read an article on the condition  the people of Delhi have only 3 options , 1) Breathe the toxic air 2)Buy Air Purifiers 3) Leave the city 

Buying air purifiers isnt accessible to everyone. You must be thinking how the Government officials are able to keep up with the situation . Well for them they are breathing clean air all thanks to the tons of air purifiers  bought at the expense of the citizens money (TAX).

Another issue was the recent news of Indian spice brands like MDH and Everest being banned in countries like Hongkong and Singapore . The following spices contained high levels of carcinogenic pesticide Ethylene oxide in several spice mixes . It was only after other countries imposed a ban on them that the FSSAI started to investigate on it . Out of most of the top  53   FSSAI certified  honey brands only 3 of them passed the qualifications conducted in a lab.  So what is the FSSAI doing ? And till present only a notice has been sent to the companies . Do our lives even matter?

The whole point of putting forward so much data is to highlight the ineffiency of the ministry. Though there are being decisions made nothing is being done to solve it forever . Why is the  Indian government waiting for other countries to point out faults within their functioning ? Why cant it prevent from things to happen ?

In my view we aren't able to exercise our rights. Our Right to Pollution free Environment .(yes its a thing ) Our Right to Food Security . Not to mention the failing Education System . Then how can we call ourselves the Largest Democracy ?

Through todays article I want to bring notice to each one of you the things where we are lacking behind and the only solution to it is to have an effective and efficient government . Its not any political party but the Government that I am talking about because as they say 'Rome was not built in a day ' the crisis faced today is due to the actions and inactions of all parties  forming governments of the present and the past. 

With the same hope I think as citizens we must become more aware and wise and know whats best for the nation and come together to find solutions .
